Finally Ana Maria and Ana Michelle arrived mid morning to Ezeiza airport. For me a sleepy ride in a mini bus up to the airport, all 60´s hits, arriving to Led Zepplin´s Stairway to Heaven, and then a mini world of confusion between a delay arrival, changing terminals, but in the end, here we are, relaxing in Irene´s apartment in La Plata.
I asked the Taxi driver about the warning in the currency exchange about not accepting bills which are no longer in circulation. Are there bills that are worthless? I ask. ¨The driver replies along the line, "Money that isn’t worth anything any more? There’s more of that than the real stuff, in ´01 we lost 3 zeros, before that 4 zeros" Then he thinks for awhile, says that the currency has come and gone 4 times that he remembers...
